Our history.

A trusted steward of our members’ money since 1972, we have a long history of supporting the Anglican community and the broader Christian community in New Zealand and Polynesia.

A longstanding Christian financial services organisation.

The 1972 General Synod of the Anglican Church established The New Zealand Anglican Church Pension Board and The New Zealand Anglican Church Pension Fund (“Pension Fund”).

Back in 1972, the establishment of a new Provincial Pension Fund for the Anglican clergy was a trail blazing innovation. Today we are known as Anglican Financial Care, a professional financial services organisation that serves the Anglican Church and other Christian denominations. We administer three separate retirement savings schemes (Pension Fund, The Retire Fund, and Christian KiwiSaver Scheme).

Ever since its inception, Anglican Financial Care has provided mortgage finance for Anglican clergy, clergy widows / widowers, clergy pensioners and other Christians.

Anglican Financial Care also provides ancillary services to the wider Church. These include administration services for the Anglican Insurance Board and the Baptist Union Superannuation Scheme.
